Welcome

What comes to your mind when you hear the words, “construction company”? Maybe you think of unreturned phone calls, nightmarishly long waits, and deadlines that accommodate everyone’s schedules but yours, the client's.

Wouldn’t you rather work with a builder who has experience interacting one-on-one with clients and a solid track record of satisfied customers?

We are Cutting Edge Construction, a Sandpoint, Idaho family owned and operated general contracting business since 2000, here to serve you. As the years have gone by, we have been diligently gathering information and pursuing the end goal of maximum customer satisfaction. We’re not just building homes or commercial buildings, we’re building relationships and we’re building community - we’re building your perfect S.P.A.C.E..

Below, you can read about what we mean when we say "your perfect S.P.A.C.E.", or we invite you to click here to read a personal letter from Cutting Edge Construction's owner, Levi Bush.

At Cutting Edge Construction, we've developed an acronym for the system we use on any job we tackle. We call it S.P.A.C.E.:
  • S. "Superior Quality" - The first, and one of the most important ingredients in creating a truly exceptional product or service, is superior quality. We always strive to use the best building products we can find. Whether you need the most reliable foundation protection product available, the highest-quality drainage system on the market, or the most energy-efficient and sensible insulation option for your specific situation, we dedicate the necessary amount of time to properly researching the products and systems used in your project. In delivering a superior product to you, we don't work alone - we also draw from the expertise of our associates in the architectural, engineering, and interior design fields.
  • P. "Positive Work Environment" - A positive work environment is essential to the efficient progression of any jobsite. Unhappy or disgruntled employees and subs are a recipe for shoddy craftsmanship and future problems. As the general contractor in charge of your project, we make it our job to set a positive, upbeat tone for the jobsite work environment. We do this by ensuring that anyone who works on your project wants to work for us because, if they want to work for us, they want to work for you.
  • A. "Accountability" - At Cutting Edge Construction, we've made it a standard policy to obtain bids from at least three qualified and reputable subcontractors for any part of your project that requires subcontracted work. We also obtain multiple quotes on the building materials used in your project. These policies provide our clients with the assurance that they are receiving exceptional value for every dollar spent. Since our customers need to know where their money is going and that bills are being paid on time, we submit invoices on a previously-agreed-upon schedule. We ensure that bills from subs and suppliers from previous billing periods are paid in full, lien releases are signed, and all bills are always available for review by customers.

  • C. "Communication" - Communication is the key to the success in all relationships. At Cutting Edge Construction, we know that customer to contractor and contractor to subcontractor relationships are no exception. Communication on our jobsites fosters efficiency and is essential to fulfilling expectations and achieving goals on time. That's why our supervisors are required to give a daily progress report for every jobsite under their charge. For our out of town customers, we commit to regular progress reports. We email a detailed progress report along with pictures three times a week and, since there is a resident supervisor on your jobsite, we are always available for site visits.
  • E. "Efficiency" - Efficiency is really the culmination of all the above-outlined principles. There are many ways we apply this concept, such as the implementation of a critical path construction schedule and the drafting of a customer/designer check list, which result in increased customer satisfaction, wise resource stewardship, and effective time management. Being committed to an efficient schedule allows us to be very competitive in our rates since it allows us to calculate costs based on time frame commitment rather than percentage of job cost. Ultimately, efficiency minimizes financing costs and reduces potentially high-interest construction loan payments resulting in significant savings for you, the customer.

We offer a full year of follow-up service after your project is completed. We also offer a "Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty." This warranty guarantees that, for as long as you own the home or building we built for you, any defects resulting from faulty craftsmanship or improper installation of building products will be corrected free of charge. At Cutting Edge Construction, we take pride in our work and are happy to stand behind what we do.
